Second summer shoot: Polka dots

The polka dot print is the happening trend at the moment plus uber cute! Especially really fitting on blouses and dresses, pants could be real fun but for a lot of people a bit too much of a good thing.

A lot of people already have problems with wearing print. Polka dot however is a pretty accessible print especially in the tiny variant. It adds just a bit of sophistication without looking like your chanelling your inner Mini Mouse. I like my prints and looks a little out there so I am opting for a medium size dot. 

I do have some tricks I use to stop myself from looking like one big table cloth while wearing prints. Go for some skin. My go too move when it comes to wearing prints on blouses; make it a vneck! The flash of skin is a nice break from the print stopping it from looking like one big front. 

Espadrilles

The espadrilles are a summer love of most and these with the lobsters are extremely cute! They are my first however and although they are quite comfy I am having trouble pulling them out of their boxes.

It's not that I can't combine them, but more that my leather booties are so comfortable that most of the days they are my easy fix while I already know I can walk on those for hours. I will go and try to wear them more them being so cute and all. 

Oh another reason I am having trouble putting them on is; they are white. White and Ella means stains within the minute. 

Hats

The hat in this picture is from a second hand shop: 2,5 euros! So I like hats and I can not lie! Are you out there looking for a hat, but don't want to go all expensive?  A lot of second hand shops like the Kilo shop in Amsterdam have an selection of super cute, super original and not that expensive hats! I know what you're thinking but they clean new arrivals firercly, so don't fred!

First summer shoot: denim patched up

So last Saturday me and my friend did a shoot to give you guys a better and closer look of my outfits!

My first outfit features a few of my fav items in the closet; denim shorts, blouses and buckleboots! Plus the popular trend; patches!

I love how the buckle boots immediatly add a bit of a tough feel to the whole look.  Although a lot in my closet may look chic I am a sucker for the cowboy feels you see everywhere. Also ankle boots are my weakness. I have too many black ones and wear them even through summer..said enough?

Shoes on top: My top 3 shoes for this summer

These are actually all three of them new shoes; I know it's insane I am an addict. I totally admit it. But let's forget about that for a moment and let me explain why I needed these three. 

Buckle boots: Sacha 109,99

Okay these buckle boots aren's exactly 'summer' like, but they are for me! I am the weird kind of person by whom seeing her feet is probably a miracle. It's not that my feet are disgusting, or not that disgusting...just kidding. It's because I love the combo tanned bare leggs and ankle boots! The same way I like shorts and blouses with long sleeves. For me it adds some class and toughness to the look. Plus I am addicted to chelsea boots I can walk on them for hours, they make my leggs look longer and they keep my tiny toes warm. Even if it's not really hot outside, closed shoes make sure I can still pull of shorts without goose bumps; so YAY! And I haven't even mentioned the awesome studds and buckles that are totally hip and tough looking. A perfect festival look if you ask me. Real leather so; no grass stains, no wet feet, and no heel; so no pain.

So this season you've seen Adidas Superstars all over the place! I was tempted really tempted.. And yes I've been looking everywhere for a sale, because, to be honest , those guys aren't really cheap. But while I was looking I saw them on other people, thinking wow those look cool and at one point I was like; 'woow everyone has them' and that's when I decided let's just not. So I went looking futher. I didn't have any light sneakers only black ones and I had already imagined all the looks I could pull of with a white pair.. So by now I was in dire need of some. 

Then I spotted this pair. Not white but even more perfect: taupe! White+Ella= stains.. lots of stains. So taupe a safe bet plus they look totally classy, perhaps more my thing than sporty, I can't really pull of sporty. I love a combo of totally black and a pair of light sneaks, it makes your outfit really pop! These sneaks are also very cute under a pair of shorts or a cute dress. Because of the color they tend to look more chic wich makes them more skirt/dress fitting if you'd ask me.

Espradilles: Sissy boy 29,99

Last but not least my new espadrilles with the cute lobsters! At the moment espadrilles are like everywhere. You have the boat shoe form or the sneaker form, but I am more of a boat shoe form liker. They are easy wearing(no places and stuff) plus they are summers shoes so no socks sticking out wich makes other boat shoes a bit harder to match.

I was actually enchanted by a fake version of the gorgeous Chanel espadrilles (see here). I had seen lookalikes pass through the feed of Primark so I've been going by there every once in a while, but they are never in store. That meant time to move on. Sissy boy is one of my fav stores when it comes to home interior like little cacti and such, so I was looking on the site and I saw these totally cute little lobsters espadrilles. Wich have leather on the inside for support and cotton for comfort! I was lucky enough to buy them in the family member sale, but even without the discount they are a nice bargain. These are the kind of shoes that put the S in summer. A real musthave!
